About Ricardo Dominguez

Ricardo Dominguez Tagline:

My new goal in life is to continue my growth in the field of photography. I am available for editorial projects and small jobs.

Introduction:

My name is Ricardo A. Dominguez and I am a freelance photographer. Photography has always been my lifelong passion. Ever since I was a child, I was attracted to photography and my interest has only grown stronger as I've grown older. I was given my first camera when I was only five years old and since then my dream has always been to work around the world, as a photographer.

I first began to learn the photographic arts in 1981, at the New York Institute of Photography. At that time digital cameras did not exist. I made the transition to digital photography in 2012, when I realized that I had become a dinosaur, and I knew I had to adapt to the modern world, if I was going to survive. I replaced the old darkroom with digital darkroom programs. I'm now able to enlarge pictures and crop them, rotate them, and save them with the magical push of my finger.

As a photographer, I have covered events for local newspapers and online newspapers. As a photographer, I have covered events for local newspapers and online newspapers. My specialties are photojournalism, on location photography, graduations of high school and university students, social media photography, sports photography, and so forth. Being a photographer allows me to get right up close to people, so that I can work with them, interact with them, and build relationships with them that will last a very long time. When I’m photographing people, I try to capture photo-journalistic candid style shots. I like to see a photojournalistic touch in every picture I take. My work has appeared in juried shows at the Hispanic World's Fair, held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, in New York City, 1987; at the Gallery 53, in Meriden CT, 2013 and at the "Winter Online Juried Art Competition and Exhibition” of the Artists Association of Northern Colorado, in 2014.
